Survey for integrated development undertaken in Bhaghty Village

Bhandari, Feb 1 : A government official team from the agri and allied department, Wokha district, undertook a preliminary survey for integrated development of Bhaghty village on January 29.

DAO Wokha, Ramo Lotha, convenor, led the visiting team. A public awareness meeting was then held at Upper Bhaghty in which village council authorities from surrounding villages and public from Bhaghty area attended for discussions.

Speaking at the meeting, the DAO expressed his happiness and gratitude to the Deputy Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Ralanthung Yanthan, and said that the proposed development of the agri and allied department’s activities for Bhaghty village was initiated and directed by the Deputy Speaker himself.

He urged the people and citizens of the area to cooperate with all departments concerned for all kinds of development to be taken up in Bhaghty valley area, which holds great potential for agricultural production. District Project Officer for land resources, Vangamo Lotha, reminded the citizens to avoid all obstacles that disturb the development for production.

Yantsao Lotha, a senior citizen from Bhaghty, delivered the welcome address and also assured the official team saying that no disturbance would be allowed against any development works but that all equal assistance and support would be given to the government when development comes to Bhaghty village.

The meeting was chaired by SDAO, Bhaghty, Ben Lotha. The visiting team included Executive Engineer (Irrigation), District Fishery Officer, District Sericulture Officer and officials from other allied departments.
