chief minister and veteran Congress leader, Mukul Sangma Wednesday
promised of full support and cooperation to Prime Minister Narendra
Modi. “Just as you assume the onerous responsibility of this office to
deal with the many challenges the country is confronting, I take this
opportunity to assure you of our full support and cooperation,” Sangma
said in a missive to Modi.“We all look forward keenly to working with you on matters of common concern. Under your wise and able leadership, I am sure that relations between the Centre and the States will grow in mutual confidence in the larger interests of our nation.”
Stating that North Eastern region in general and Meghalaya in particular have their own unique challenges as well as opportunities, Sangma said, “ Together, we need to address these on utmost priority. I should be able to bring these to your personal attention at a more opportune time.”
