The decision to close down the units were taken during a joint meeting of JSU and JPSU here yesterday.
''Besides the boycott of examinations, the two student bodies have unanimously decided to close down the Jowai Polytechnic from tomorrow in protest against the government’s apathy,'' JSU General Secretary Rikut Parien said after the meeting.
Mr Parien also informed that the student bodies would meet again in near future to chalk out the future course of action on the issue.
