Mentally ill man attack villagers in Meghalaya, 11 hurt

Shillong: A mentally ill man turned violent and attacked villagers, injuring eleven of them seriously at a village on the outskirts of Shillong last night.

Forty-year-old Solace Marbo, son of Rowel Saton, attacked villagers of Nonghali, about 15 km from here, last night with sharp weapons, police said.

The injured have been admitted to the North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences.

Marbo was later picked up by police.
