20th Foundation Day of SAN-KER to be celebrated

Shillong: The 20th Foundation Day of SAN-KER will be celebrated on June 9, 2010 wherein the Governor of Meghalaya, Mrs. R S Mooshahary will be the Chief Guest and Padma Shree Q Rynjah will be the Guest of Honour. The celebration will include a thanksgiving function and the release of the annual Souvenir on the theme “Child Trafficking” to highlight the prevalence and ill effects it has on the citizens of tomorrow.

As part of the Celebrations, SAN-KER will organise an Awareness Programme on the “Rights of the Mentally Ill” on June 5, 2010. This programme will be chaired by Padma Shree Patricia Mukhim and the Resource Person will be Mrs. Nakinlin Shylla, Advocate. On June 7, 2010, a painting competition for the Differently Abled Children will be organised for the students of Special Schools of Shillong.
