Deputy Commissioner Pravin Bakshi told newsmen here that as a sequel to the FIR registered yesterday, specific instructions have been given for the presence of a female magistrate and female police personnel during the girl's deposition.
A 14-year-old girl, along with her friends had gone to Thapa Dangre village to collect betel-nut when they were allegedly confronted by a group of BSF personnel who put up a picket at Mendipathar on Sunday, locals said.
The Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) of Resubelpara has instructed the Officer In-Charge of the Mendipathar Police station to prepare and submit a report on the matter and investigation is underway on the circumstances under which the allegation was made, Bakshi said.
The medical examination of the girl did not reveal bruise or injury marks, he said.
Investigation was on and an inquiry report was awaited,he said.
