At its meeting last evening, the state Cabinet okayed the 4,083 crore rupee project for the 108.4 km rail line.The proposal would be sent to the Railway ministry for approval.
Official sources said in Shillong that after approval of the Centre, the detailed project report would be re-examined by the cabinet.
