Saxena is BSF's new Assam-Meghalaya Frontier chief

Shillong, Jun 6 (PTI) R C Saxena will take over as Inspector General of BSF's Assam and Meghalaya Frontier, replacing Prithvi Raj, who has completed his deputation and posted to his parent cadre in Himachal Pradesh.

Saxena, who was Principal Staff Officer at Special D G (East) headquarters in Kolkata, will take charge tomorrow.

A direct entry officer who joined the force in 1971, Saxena has experience in anti-insurgency operations for which he was awarded the police medal for gallantry and other decorations.
