Meghalaya Government conducting survey to Develop School Education Data Base

Shillong: The Education Department, Government of Meghalaya is conducting a survey for the collection of School level information and data relating to physical infrastructure, number of students, student's enrollment, etc in the context of the 8th All India School Education Survey (AISES) launched by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Recourses Development, New Delhi.

The primary objective of the survey is to develop a data base for school education which would be useful for Educational Planning and Administration. The survey data being collected will be used for monitoring the implementation and to assess the impact of various schemes like SSA. This will provide universal access, enrollment, retention and improvement of quality in elementary education and in planning for Universalisation of Secondary Education with the recent launching RMSA through out the country.

Heads of all educational institutions, teachers and the general public are requested to extend their cooperation to the survey officials in the performance of their duties to enumerate their respective schools or institutions.
