Minister Agatha Sangma will be in Manipur soon

Imphal, June 11 : Agatha Sangma, the NCP Member of Parliament (MP) from Meghalaya and the youngest Union minister will be visiting the state of Manipur on June 17.The new minister of states (MoS) for rural development will be here to honour the closing ceremony of the 11th Foundation Day of the NCP, Manipur.

Informing of this during a celebration of the foundation day at its office in Thangmeiband of Imphal West district, president of the state party, Radhabinod Koijam stated the daughter of PA Sangma, leader of the NCP will be in the state on June 17 to grace the closing ceremony of the party's anniversary.

Addressing the gathering further, the president of the state wing asserted the NCP being a national political party from the North East region was thorough with the needs and aspirations of the region adding the party will leave no stone unturned to solve the regional problems.

He, however, lamented the situation of the state where money was becoming a factor during elections observing a gangster could become the chief minister and other ministers of the state after ten years or so.

Radhabinod also held it unfortunate that many innocent people with good moral and personality with willingness to serve the state were unable to come forward due to lack of money power for elections.

In this situation, gangsters with money could become the ministers of the state someday, he added.

Asserting further that a certain candidate had spent over Rs.1 crore during the last 15th Lok Sabha elections and that there were people played a double standard role in it, he warned it was time for the people of the state to analyse the situation.
