Meghalaya Guv leaves for New Delhi

Shillong, March 21: Two days after the state was placed under Central rule, Meghalaya Governor R S Mooshahary on Saturday left for New Delhi.

Official sources said he was likely to meet the President Pratibha Patil to apprise her of the political situation in the state.

There have been protests by leaders of the Meghalaya Progressive Alliance, led by P A Sangma, over his partisan and unconstitutional act in recommending Presidents Rule.
